Chef Samantha Buyskes is with Three Brothers Winery, which operates the restaurant HJ Stead Company on Linden Street in downtown Geneva. She’s organizing FEAST in the Heart of the Finger Lakes.

There’s a new coffee shop in Geneva, just north the Hobart and William Smith Colleges campus. The storefront, at the corner of Pulteney and Washington was most recently a hair salon, but for a long time before that it was a local, family market.

Temperatures may keep approaching summer-like highs, but fall is undeniably here in the Finger Lakes. Days are getting shorter. Leaves are changing and grape harvest has begun. And, the businesses on Linden Street in downtown Geneva are celebrating their final weekend of closing the street to vehicle traffic with the 3rd Annual Cider Soiree.
