Closing Reception Architects, Art Historians and Studio Artists from the Colleges have chosen favorite pieces from The Collections and tell us why they chose those artworks. These works highlight the varied interests of the department and demonstrate an intellectual, personal or professional perspective. This is a celebration of the Davis Gallery and the importance of The Collections and the Gallery to the Colleges and especially to the Department of Art and Architecture. Eine Andere Stille creates an emotional and thought-provoking environment reflective of Queer German Cinema. With a specific focus on the films Different from the Others (1919), and Silent Youth (2012), film scenes are interpreted through various mediums in order to capture moments of wanted connection and struggles between the characters on screen. These silent moments achieve their power through expressed body language and wordless interactions.
